Flaming Euler Disk

We finally purchased an Euler disk (pronounced "oiler") from a science catalog. It's a heavy metal disk that's designed to oscillate for several minutes when spun on a smooth flat surface. It's a lot of fun to play with right out of the box, but naturally we wanted to see if lighting it on fire could make it even more fun! To answer that question, we stuck a felt furniture glide to the center and saturated it with isopropyl alcohol. Flames do indeed add an interesting dimension.
