Constructing the Jelly Bean Rifle

We were curious to see what would happen if you transferred the momentum of a falling 16 pound bowling ball into a 2 gram jelly bean. We built this device to find out! I know it's not really a "rifle" in the sense that the barrel is not imparting a spin to the jelly bean. However, this thing is just so powerful that we didn't think the word "launcher" would do it justice.
